Urban road

Urban roads must meet a wide variety of requirements. On the one hand, they must be designed to be capable of handling the necessary volume of motorised traffic. On the other hand, urban roads are also used by non-motorised road users and people with reduced mobility. Urban roads must therefore enable safe mobility for everyone, from young children to the very elderly, including on foot or by bicycle.

Are accidents between cars and cyclists in driveways supposedly unimportant? In order to investigate this question, the German Insurers Accident Research has examined accidents of this type as part of a study.
